Osteopathic Health Policy Intern Program Open for Applications

The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) is currently accepting applications for the 2009 Osteopathic Health Policy Intern (OHPI) Program.  All applications for the 2009 internship program are due electronically in the AACOM and the AOA offices on or before July 7, 2008.

OHPI is a program that enables two osteopathic medical students to spend one month in each of the government relations departments of AACOM and the AOA. To the extent practical, every effort is made to identify the two-month period that best accommodates the students' schedules. The objective of the program is to allow selected student interns to develop an understanding and operational knowledge of how federal health care policy is formulated and how to have an effective impact on policy formulation.
